October 19th is the day for Mashugaa, Kenya’s Independence Day from Great Britain. It’s also known as Freedom Fighters Day.

Mark Kimata, our Public Relations Director, is planning a Kenyan Festival at Skip Wells Park in Marietta, Georgia to raise funds for Clean Water Kenya.

Activites include Real Kenyan Food like Nyama Choma (roasted goat meat), Samosa (fried/baked dish with a savoury filling in a triangular shape) and Ugali (a tasty cornmeal porridge).

Kid’s activities include a Bounce House as well as 2 playgrounds, a local DJ, vendors and Clean Water Kenya selling items listed on our online store.
