Dr. Lasiti Mereu Lepash

Dr. Mereu was born and raised in the Maasai Community. He earned a degree in Clinical Medicine from the Kenyatta National Hospital and a degree in Ophthalmology from the College of Health Professionals in Nairobi. He currently holds a license to practice and is affiliated with the Kenyatta National Hospital.

From 1986 to 1992 the doctor was employed within the Kenya Ministry of Health. He is registered as a private practice professional and established the Ewuaso Kidong Medical Center, also known as the Ewaso Clinic, in Kajiando County. Dr. Mereu has treated thousands of Maasai over the years through his rural clinic.

Dr. Mereu is our facilitator and governing health professional on the ground heading up research for Clean Water Kenya in Maasai Land.
