Dear Friends of Clean Water Kenya,

This video shows your Rain Barrels being distributed among some very happy Maasai people. The rains have just begun, however, they are very light and infrequent. These storage containers will help the Maasai through a very dry time until the next rains are due in September. Many of the Maasai who do not have our
Rain Barrels and Filter Systems are reverting to drinking the polluted brown water that’s left in the shallow watering holes.

These barrels will be used to store rainwater harvested from the roofs of the Maasai huts for later use when the natural water supply dries up. The water will then be purified through our Portable Water Filtration Systems for drinking and cooking.

On a positive note, a drastic decrease in water-borne disease has been seen in those villages using our Portable Water Filtration Systems.

The Maasai, our crew on the ground (Dr. Mereu, Barnabas Mutua and Jackson Kanga) and all of us at Clean Water Kenya thank you for answering our call to help these very welcoming and wonderful people through a difficult dry time.

My personal thanks, as well, to Benard Otieno for this wonderful surprise video he produced from clips he compiled while traveling with our crew distributing the Rain Barrels.

Sincerely, Ken Clark
VP-Founder/Clean Water Kenya
